Getting Help
Submitted by Patrick Schoenbach on Thu, 04/28/2005 - 1:47am.
In case you run in to trouble when installing or using SQL Data Expert, the development team provides you with three different options to get support.
The
currently preferred support option is marked in red. Please take note that this preference might change depending on the size of the user community and the workload of the developers.
- Joining the user mailing list
On this mailing list, the user community of SQL Data Expert discusses all issues around this project. On this mailing list, fellow users of SQL Data Expert might be able to help you solve your problems and answer your questions as well which reduces the workload for the development team. But of course, the developers read this list as well, and are always willing to help you with your problems or questions. So, if you have any questions about SQL Data Expert, feel free to join the mailing list. - Posting to the forum
If you prefer web-based communication over using email, then the forum is the right method for you to get support. Actually, there are two different forums: The "Open discussion"-forum is for general discussion about all issues around SQL Data Expert, while the "Help"-forum is for support requests. - Filing a support request
If your support issue is urgent or you feel that your request only can be properly handled by the development team, please file a support request in our tracker. The team will try its best to provide you with a solution quickly.
Please do not email the developers directly.
